I bought my first extract brew kit today. I'm excited!
I've been doing kombucha for a few years, last year I tried a one gallon batch of apple cider that ended up undrinkable.
This year's apple cider batch is doing much much better thanks to a recipe I found on this forum. (Well done oldmate.)
Then I spent a week or two reading some other posts here and got bit by the brew bug.
So I'm stepping up my equipment and branching out into beer.
I'll be starting my first beer batch (Robust Beard Porter, from Homebrew Supply) in a week or two. :beard:
By that time I will have bottled the first gallon of cider for the year.
Before the year is out I plan to have a 3 gallon batch of cider put up and maybe a 3 gallon mead.

Thanks for all the information you guys have made available, this site is fantastic.

I ended up having to throw out my kombucha setup, we moved and it got mistreated and abandoned for a month or so, and got a little fuzzy... :(

I plan to start that up again soon.
