The title pretty much says it all, which do you prefer, which is more reliable and works consistently? Do you guys have any suggestions in brands and prices? Thanks

FYI, I have a GE 5 CU freezer coming friday

What are you going to use it for? If just controlling the fridge, the analong is fine. If you want to directly control a fermenter, the digital is better. With a digital you can change the "differential" down to 1 deg. The analog is set at 3.5 deg.

Im just using it for a Kreezer for my kegs, no fermenting unless I get a bigger freezer.. So is the analog the best bet for me? I heard some of the digital ones not working after a little while also has anyone experienced this issue

I have 5 digital controllers, and not one issue.

What kind of controller did you get? What brands do you guys recommend ? Also wild west are you running them with freezers or fridges and how long have you used them for?

thanks for the replies guys

All freezers, all rancos, from 6 months to 4 years.

I prefer digi and have used both. Hands down winner IMO.

As for reliability, a surge suppressor does wonders for protecting digi equipment from self destruction in areas prone to spikes.

i have the johnson controller on my keezer for about 2 years. i havent noticed any problems. nothing has ever frozen in there or been warm, so i gues its working just the way it should.
