So I suppose it behooves me to make an intro post if I intend to be a part of this forum community. The jury is still out for me on whether I will become a regular or not.

I am a regular over at the sister site, beerforum. I know many of the other regulars there are members here too. I hadn't been motivated to come over here until last night though.

I don't brew, although it could happen in the future. I enjoy tasting new beers and talking about beer. I live on Long Island, originally from NYC. I enjoy almost all types of beer though I tend to like hoppy beers better than sweet beers.

anyway, cheers. :mug:

Welcome!

Sweet and hoppy are not mutually exclusive. I had an Oskar Blues Gubna yesterday and it was very hoppy and very sweet. Almost like sugar water hop tea!

Absolutely, and i didn't mean to indicate that I thought they were. Gubna I thought was too sweet, despite the hops. I think i rated it a 2.5, meaning it was average. Typically if a beer is sweet I won't love it; despite the hoppiness.

I'm not a fan of the Gubna either.

Welcome to the forum.
