Never used this yeast before, and maybe should have done some research beforehand, brewed 1/24 has been in a temp stable area since brewed, @ 68
OG 1.050, checked last weekend FG at 1.009 and again today no change. Im just not sure what to think of the tan milky globs floating on top lol

Any advice? thanks

Doesn't look like an infection to me. I think it's just "stuff". Next time you take a gravity reading, have a taste and see if there are any off/sour flavors. But it looks completely fine to me.

That yeast does have some brett in it, so don't be surprised if it does form a pelicle.

Right now it looks normal.

I done a couple with wlp670. Normal. Give it plenty of time. I liked it best after a couple of months kegged or bottled.
D

Ok, ive usually just used wyeast smack packs and bottle after 14-21 days but my HG supplier said this would be better for what I made flavor wise, and have been waiting for it to drop out lol FG has been stable for over 2 weeks, so basically should I bottle or wait another week or 2?

I would say wait. The beer I did with 670 went to 1.002 after 3 months, no change after 4 so I bottled it. It was best after 2 mos in the bottle, but keeps getting funkier. Brett is a slow worker.

Well its changed again lol still not sure what to think of this. Its rock solid at 1.009 checked today, so its definitely done just looks funky.

Ok question, since I rechecked again and its obviously done @ 1.009 FG, should I leave it longer or rack to secondary for a couple weeks, or just go ahead and bottle?

Also are there any suggestions on how to disinfect my equipment, i.e. ferm bucket rack cane tubing ect that has or will come in contact with the Brett or have I inherited dedicated Brett equipment and replace. Thanks

There is the pelicile I predicted in my earlier post.

I would give it some more time. Brett can take it lower, so do not bottle yet. You can leave it or rack it whichever you prefer. I usually give my bret beers several months to make sure they are finished.

Ok no problem, just never used this yeast before, so it should drop more even tho its been sitting at 1.009 for over a .month interesting I'll let it sit and wait it out thanks for the advise.

The Sach gets it down pretty far and then the brett kicks in. It is possible that it is done but it is possible to drop a few more points. At 1.009 I would not risk bottling just yet. All of the brett beers I have done ended up under 1.005.
