Amazing Head....on the beer I mean.

Just finished my second batch of beer. It's an American Ale kit from Brewer's Best. I dropped a little apricot flavor in as I was bottling. After 2 weeks in the bottle I refrigerated some and tasted. Beer quality is fine but an amazing head on the beer as you pour it. Is it over carbonated? What causes this?

Head is formed by dissolved proteins in the beer. Carbonation drives it after it's in the glass.
