Well I've been pretty active here over the past couple weeks with a bunch of noob questions... Now I have a noob PROBLEM.
I was checking the SG of my Apfelwein and I cracked the side of the bucket. don't even freaking ask me how. I was just pulling the cap off and I heard the crack. it wasn't large, but Apfelwein started leaking out, so I quickly grabbed my auto siphon (luckily just sanitized) and racked to a secondary (2 1 gallon jugs... what I had at the moment).
So here is my problem... It was only fermenting for 9 days. The SG was 1.020 and now it sits under airlock in the jugs. What was disappointing was that Edwort's says not "necessary" to rack to secondary and I saw all the yeast cake at the bottom of the bucket. So I'm wondering if my first batch of Apfelwein is screwed or not?
