This recently modified sanke is installed in a storage room just off the brewing area/garage/man space. The room is below grade which required using a pressure-activated laundry sink pump to get the output up to the drain line.

"Filling the Bud keg" has a new meaning now around here.

that is fantastic. I just hope you never have to clean that sump pump. Do you always leave the water running, or just to flush?

That, my friend, is one hell of a bragging piece!

And another "dream" project goes on the list

Cheers!

Nice! A local bar has two urinals very similar to this, they also use a cutoff sanke base as the sink.

Notes:

The ball valve is only opened to "flush". It takes about 8 sec to run enough water to just fill the bottom of the keg to activate the pressure switch on the pump which sucks it dry. The pump has a check valve to prevent back-flow. It actually runs very quietly.

The metals edges were rounded and are actually quite smooth. You would have to have to be seriously impaired for them to be a hazard in which case you would be excused from the brewing area. :drunk:

-1 for the guest today who could not guess the purpose of the new addition when given three tries. He will not be a frequent visitor to the man-cave.
