Went to build a temp controller for my garage fridge/ fermenter
Bought a $20 thermostat at WalMart. Desoldered the thermistor.
That's when I went wrong.
Dang that thing is tiny.
Well I killed the thermistor trying to get the heat shrink on it.
Crap!
I had an intake air temp sensor from a car in my toolbox at work.
Wired that to the thermostat(much easier as the temp sensor had nice big terminals)
It is within one degree of accurate.
Lesson Don't despair if ya thought ya killed something.
