So I have one of each....I'm happy with my Ale Pale but I think my True Brew is harder to seal and not sure if it does all the way.

Any one else had both?

I have got 2 of each.

I liked how the True Brew sealed, with that rubber ring on the lid. However, after my Oatmeal Stout kreusen explosion, that lid is a pain in the arse to clean to get the kreusen out.

I like the Ale Pail, but have had one stain from brews. Oxy Clean did a fair job of getting the color out, but it's still there.

Overall, I like both. For the True Brew just bang on the lid with your fist, you will hear it snap tight. It's a little hard to get the lid off, but not too bad.

I have an ale pail and I hate it. Its always the last bucket I use. The lid is so damn hard to get off takes me nearly 5 minutes. Hurts my finger tips

The lid doesn't have a large enough lip for me. And the lack of lip also doesn't allow me to use my bucket opener on that one. Luv my bucket opener.

I've only used the ale pale. I agree that the lid is a pita to get off but mine seal up like a bank vault.

I use the True Brew buckets for wine fermenters and ale pails for beer. I will definitely +1 the lid is a PITA to get off, the ale pails work with the $3 bucket opener from the paint section of the big box hardware store but the True Brews do not.

Ever had an issue cleaning the rubber insert and lid groove (where the lid snaps onto the lid) on the True Brew?

I need to buy another one or two so I was curious. I guess it comes down to I can get Trew Brew Local and Ale Pale is a shipped item for my area so going to depend on shipping charges but I like the ale pale best so far I think.
