I'm not able to make the trip from Chicago to Bend this year. I need a proxy to pick up my bottles and drop them off at FedEx. I will provide a 12-bottle shipper and shipping label, so I'm only asking for your time and effort. The 12-bottle shipper I provide will not be empty when it arrives in OR. If you're willing and able, please start a conversation with me (DM) and I'll provide more details. The details will include bottle choices toward making this worth your while. :wink:

People are dropping out on ale apothecary?

It seems increasingly less desirable as a local (or semi-local). I've seen most of this year's allocation available off the shelf, and often several months before the November allocation date. And with Paul no longer doing a drop-off for members in Portland... but the beer comes here to buy for retail... and on a retail shelf I can make the choice to pass on flat dark sours. Oh, also the prices.

TBH, the club seems much better designed for out-of-staters for whom getting everything in a single case at one time is probably convenient, rather than a trickle through the year.

FWIW, I saw a lot of people familiar from last year, locals/Portlanders as well as those who made a long haul. No idea what the actual turnover % is, but I didn’t get the impression it was high. People’s preferences and lives change, so the only thing that would surprise me is zero turnover.

Confirmed: those were all terrible. I really liked The Minotaur and The Beermongers Anniversary bottles though.

Anyone know which bottle dates of Sahalie correspond to the honey, dry hop, blueberry(, or regular) from the 2015 club? I know this may come as a shock to all of you, but I lost all of those foolproof twine boutique tags hung loosely from their necks.

9/24/15 is definitely not blueberry.

I reached out close to New Years asking if there's room on the wait list since I'm just about set on moving to Oregon. Anyways, I was told there was no room in the 2018 club, though I was put on the wait list. Not sure what that means for those who've been on the list for a while. I figure it's going to be a few years for me though.

Ah well. So long as I find an affordable place to live in Oregon, I can't be too disappointed. And if luck would have it, maybe I'll find myself within driving distance of the tasting room. But that's at least eight months in the future.
