Hello there,

I moved my beer to a Secondary fermentation and the water airlock im using continuously becomes loose after I put it on. I believe im following the instructions/videos correctly. Any reason why this might be happening?

Thanks!

Drying it kind of defeats the purpose of sanitizing it. I've dried the outside and put a strap of tape over it until morning. It will dry and stick solid.

I always dry it (the bung and the carboy opening) with a clean paper towel. It hasn't contaminated anything in 25 years, so I'm pretty sure it's ok to do that.

Are you using a solid bung?

Or are you using the one that looks hollow when viewed from above? I have problems with those too. It seems only with certain carboys though.

I had the same problem and used tape to fix it also.

Electrical tape and blowoff valves for me. Works like a charm and it's worry free

Sorry the image is sideways I'm on the mobile app and can't figure out how to rotate
