So I'm brewing an All-Grain Irish red ale (kit from NB) 5 gallon batch, using Wyeast Irish Ale yeast that was a washed sample (used a starter).

The starter didn’t take off like normal or Krausen like my previous starters but after two days of swirling I had a huge yeast cake at the bottom and could see activity in starter so I had no real worries there.
Well I pitched the yeast at about 65 F (both starter and wort) and let it go. OG was 1.053 on 6/10/11.

I’m using the a three piece airlock and 6.5 ale pale. The bubbling didn’t take off until 6/12, but I could see Krausen developing on the side of the bucket before I saw bubbling.

On 6/14 or four days, I didn’t see any activity in the airlock for the few minutes I was watching it ( 10 or so min.) On 6/15 I took a hydrometer reading and it was at 1.022-1.023 so I was feeling pretty good about the drop. But the Krausen was basically gone and only a little bubbles and yeasties were at the surface. I checked it again two days later and the gravity was about 1.020 or 1.021.

Last night 6/19 the gravity was 1.018
I’m thinking I getting there but the lack of airlock activity has me wondering about my process if there is a small leak for gases to vent somewhere else or what.
fermenting at 62/63 F
This is only the second time I used this yeast and last time I know it took off like a rocket and the krausen dropped in 3 to 4 days also but I was fermenting at 68 or so with that.

Should I be concerned about anything, just trying to get setup for the next brew day (this weekend or next) and want to take care of this issue and if I should save this yeast since not sure on the activity level of them.

Thanks

i think you'll be fine. as you said the gravity is still dropping so its not stuck. air lock bubbles aren't really anything to worry about.
