Is it necessary to switch from a blow off tube to an airlock during the fermentation process? Or can I just leave my blow off tube on the whole time?
 
I always use a blowoff in my fermentation chamber during primary fermentation. The only time I switch to an airlock is when i move to long term aging for things like sours, ciders or meads.
