I absolutely love samichlaus and have been thinking about getting the clone kit from AHS. However I am very new to brewing and wondering if this recipe is out of me league at the moment. Anyone have any experience with this one? Is it tough to do, how long did you age it until it got good, how does it compare with the original? Also this might be dumb, but is it an ale or lager, because I haven't done any lagers yet and not sure how my temp control would be. Thanks.

Doing a big lager is probably something you should wait on. Having good temperature control (~45 degrees ambient), and the experience to deal with that much yeast/gravity are necessary. Work towards it and you'll get there soon enough.
