Does anyone have the instructions handy for Left Hand Milk Stout from Austin Homebrew Supply? For some unknown reason my kit didn't come with them. I'd really like to get this stuff brewed and into a fermenter today, help is appreciated!

Call austin home brew, let them know the kit didnt come with it and they will probabbly email you one.

stevewix -- i did that one on saturday. typed up directions and sent via PM

I did get them, and they did help. Thank you very much!

AHS sent the instructions to my fax machine a little later that day. I appreciate you both!

have to agree. i just bottled mine friday night. i added a tbsp. of cocoa to the priming sugar to make it more of a chocolate milk stout. was pretty darn good, i must say! can't wait until it matures!

Can one of you stouter's send me the ingredients list and instructions, I would like to try my left hand at that :)

Thinking about making this...for those that have made it from the Austin Homebrew recipe what did you think?

i made it. i added a little extra chocolate malt to the steeping bag and some cocoa powder to the priming sugar and waited two months. it came out pretty awesome!

I'm a little late to the boat on this one but did any of you have to reduce the amount of bittering hops. I input my the AHS recipe into Beersmith and the IBU's come out to around 70 and the Left Hand Milk Stout brewery page says its at 25.

I was thinking of just reducing the bittering since that seems like I'll be getting a really bitter milk stout. Any advice?

Also did the alcohol content come out higher than the original? I'm thinking the sweetness from higher alcohol in AHS recipe could be balanced by some of the extra bittering.
