Did they effing see Pearl Harbor and Armageddon????

Never thought I'd boycott a Batman movie.

Now it is official.

This country is being dragged to HELL by Hollywood.

OK, Michael Keaton, George Clooney, Val kilmer....questionable, but each a bad ass in their own way.

Ben Aflec is NOT a badass because of Mall Rats or Goodwill hunting.

I can go with West, Keaton and Bale as good Batmen (would it be batmen?)

But Clowny, Kilmer and Aflec just don't cut it for me.. its almost as bad as Topher Grace as Venom..

Kudus to Bale for turning down 50 million to not want to drag the series down..

And as bad as Man of Steel was, I don't think to many people were excited about this movie anyway..

Well at least they didn't get Matt Damon. They should have gone after Gilbert Gottfried or Larry David...both would have made superb batmen

Batman is AWESOME.

Keaton and Bale were the best for me.

Keaton era bvatman was more tongue in cheek, but no less awesome.

Bale was NO nonsense pure bad assery.

Aflec will bring a certain ****** factor that I can NOT bring myself to witness.

I'll wait and see. And IMO no one was worse as Batman than Adam West! Though it was an interesting comedy for a preteen.

It all depends on how it is portrayed.

I'm not supporting the choice but not many thought that heath ledger would make a good joker.

:mug:

A good point, but Heath had done some serious work before being joker.

even is puff pieces like Knight story he acted it well, however rtidiculous the story.

Aflec has overacted and proven himself a supreme ****** in countless films.

I can see affleck playing bruce wayne well enough though

..........phew........I am no purist who will say that Bruce should be this way or that..........Bale did a full range from the spoiled rich ****** to the calm quiet reserved billionaire.

Keaton did a fantastic down to earth, richer than fukk, distracted, complex nice guy with the ability to get "nuts".

I think Benifer could get the rich ****** OK, but much beyond that (R2D2 help me!!! his "Omage" speech from Pearl Harbor keeps coming to mind and I keep gagging) where was I? Oh, much beyond that is beyond his reach.

Team America (FUKK YEAH!) did little else right, but nailed Ben squarely where he belongs.

You have to take into account the time.. while West's batman was campy at best.. it helped bring comics to everyday life..

Side topic, if Nolan ever takes the Superman story the distance like Batman, would he have Doomsday kill him and who would be a good Doomsday?

Afflec has already proven he sucks at superhero movies!

Daredevil isn't a great comic to begin with. My opinion is that it was a movie that shouldn't have been optioned let alone filmed.

My opinion is that he'll either be Michael Keaton and be much better than expected. Or he'll George Cloney and be exactly what you'd expect.

Peter binklage would have been a better choice

Of course they did.

Pearl Harbor wasn't his fault, he was over shadowed by Cuba Gooding Jr.

Armageddon, well I don't know what your argument is here. I'm thinking you just don't want to close your eyes, you don't want to fall asleep because I'll miss you, and you don't want to miss a thing.

His "Omage" speech (was I not specific enough??) was the douchiest bit of acting I have seen in a LONG time. Cuba wasn't in the scene. (as I recall, although I have tried with numerous treatments to forget the entire film)

Armageddon is crapola from start to finish, and Ben fits right in.

i'm skip the batman movie because it's batman and i'm tired of superhero movies.

I am tired of how they just start over every couple of years. I like the Michale Keaton series, and I feel that the Bale series was justified at taking a more serious and dark look at batman.

I hate how superman was remade a few years back, and here they are doing it again.

What the hell?

I would agree with you only if Nolan was directing the next one. He has a way of pulling great, unexpected performances out of actors you wouldn't see fit for the part. I was disappointed when I found out Ledger was going to play the joker, but it not only worked, it was the best performance in that whole movie. Aaron Eckhart, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Heath Ledger? Sounds like the cast from a movie I'd never see. But they performed well and I attribute alot of that to good directing. You ever seen a movie with an all-star cast and been disappointed with the bad acting? Its bad writing and directing.
So Ben Affleck+Christopher Nolan would probably turn out great. Without Nolan, I don't have much hope for Affleck as Batman.
In my opinion, these past 3 movies have been the best in the franchise so far.
I watched the Michael Keaton movies as a kid and I definitely still like them, but I really like what Nolan did with these recent ones.

Completely Agree WesleyS.

The truth is, I would like to se Benifer flop, but if he was directed into turning in a great performance, I would applaude.
