Hey guys. I am brewing up an Imperial Stout (Milk) It's a holiday brew that'll have some flavor adjuncts so I want it to be a tad on the sweeter side. I am shooting for a BU:GU of .58 but I have 1# 6oz of lactose. I assume the lactose will shift the perceived sweetness outside of what the BU:GU may accurately predict. Make sense? In other words I am wondering, do programs like BeerSmith or BeerAlchemy take this nonfermentable into consideration when calculating the BU:GU? If not, how do I adjust for it, measurable?
