So the primary fermentation of my imperial stout is nearly complete and I was thinking to add the molasses that my recipe calls for. How much water would you use to boil per cup of molasses?

Also, how much molasses would you use? I was thinking of keeping the molasses at less than 10% of the fermentables.

Can't answer your first question, but I'd be careful if you are anywhere near 10% of fermentables in Molasses. I add maybe 1/2 teaspoon to my home made maple syrup and its pretty easy to pick out flavorwise.

Adding molasses to an RIS and adding it to maple syrup are two completely different things.

What grade of molasses is this? That will influence how much you use, to a degree. Maybe start at 5% by weight of the grainbill for starters, and go from there depending upon desired flavor and body for the beer, and type of molasses.

As for the water, I'd use just enough water that it's easy to pour when ready to add. So, probably not more water, by volume, than the molasses. Maybe half as much.
