I have a Ballast Point Sculpin Extract Clone that has been in the fermentor for 3 weeks now, and gravity readings have stabilized. (O.G 1.067 - F.G 1.010) I would like to add some grapefruit flavor to the beer now. I was at the store today and saw Oceanspray has a 100% Ruby Red Juice. I know it has quite a bit of sugar in it and would likely start another fermentation. Can I add it to the fermentor and let is sit for a week or so then bottle? I know you can add zest and extract to the fermentor, but does it really add flavor or just aroma? Just wanted to get some opinions on if its a good idea to use the juice, and if anyone has tried it? BTW.. it's a 64oz container that would be added to a 5 gallon batch. thanks in advance!

Why wouldn't you just use grapefruit juice? This stuff is mostly water and sugar. Although I suspect the ingredients you show here are for the non-100% juice version -- nevertheless, even the 100% version will be mostly apple or pear or grape.

Personally I'd go with the zest. Fermented citrus doesn't taste very good to me.
