I have a stout that has been aged in a FEW distillery Bourbon barrel. its very tasty and I would like to hand it out as Christmas presents. To make it extra special I bought some edible gold leaf to add to the keg prior to bottling.
a couple of questions.
1. what is the best way to add the gold leave?
2. will the gold leaf clog the blichmann beer gun?
Here are my ideas so far... I am thinking of mixing up a little bit of starsan and putting the goldleaf in and then dropping into the keg pre bottling day or boiling a small amount of water with the gold leaf in it (I am afraid the flakes might dissolve) and then keg.
anybody do this before?
