So, I have a recipe for a Cherry Vanilla Blonde, and I am thinking about adding a single cherry to the bottle during the priming stage as an extra kick when drinking.

Thoughts? Can this even be done? Is it advisable?

Wouldn't the cherry keep getting stuck in the neck of the bottle when you try to pour/drink?

You theortically put some kind of fruit in there, but the problems are
1) you don't know if you will be introducing some kind of wild yeast*
2) you don't know how much sugar the fruit will add*
3) You would probably not want to have those bottles with fruit in them hanging around too loong

*These could lead to possible explosive results during bottling

I've seen beers with peppers in them, and hop cones have been thrown around, but not fruit. It is kind of novel idea, though.

dont know if it would work but what if you had added the fruit during fermentation then when bottling transfered the fruit into each bottle. Then most of the sugars should be fermented off. Dont know though
