Hello all, my wife wants to add blueberrys to a Blue Moon Clone. Is it better to do in a secondary or can the same flavor be added by just using the primary. Also, she does not want the flavor to be too strong, just a nice hint. She had one from the local beer joint and loved it. Any ideas on the lb's I would need? It will be a 5 gal batch.

Thanks, Matt

I recently made a raspberry wiezen. The recipe called for 5-6 lbs of raspberries crushed into the bottom of the primary fermenter. It said you could use frozen or fresh.

Some other posts I've seen on here have suggested pasteurizing the berries and adding them into the secondary fermenter.

I hope your beer turns out, sounds yummy!
