I bottled and carbed my first batch of apfelwein a few weeks ago, and without knowing better, I primed with only 5oz of dextrose. Just recently, I tried my second batch which was primed with 7.5oz and it's much much better.
The first batched was bottled about a month ago, and so is already carbed, but I wanted to know if it would be possible to go back and add a small amount of dextrose to each bottle, then quickly re-cap. If dextrose would be too inaccurate, my other idea is to add a primetab or two, to each bottle. Is this a bad idea? I figure since it's already carbed the existing CO2 will create a protective blanket to keep it from getting oxidized too severely. Thanks.
