Hey all,

I'm in the middle of bottling and just ran out of sanitized bottles. What would you suggest as the fastest way to sanitize some empties? I have Easy Clean and Star San on hand.

Thanks so much in advance.

I also have a 2 L growler (flip top, like a BIG Grolsh bottle) could I siphon the beer into that and be okay? I don't want a growler bomb. And I don't want to dump the beer.

Leave it in the fermenter. Seal it up, don't rush anything.

You could even brew a couple more gallons of wort and pitch it on what you have left.

Star San and a bucket, and the growler would work great if you can give it up for a minium or 3 plus weeks.

I had the same problem this weekend. I drank three bottles of Dogfish 60, made my wife drink one, gave a couple to a neighbor to drink, and let the kids open a couple bottles of our homemade root beer. In less than an hour, I had another dozen bottles. Rinse, starsan and fill. Felt pretty good about it by then, too. :)

Thanks for the fast response everyone! I went with my growler since I rarely am able to use it anyhow. I'm think I'll also sanitize in batches and then 'cap' the bottles with sanitized aluminum foil. Should cut MANY minutes off my bottling day :).
