Right I am trying to design I few recipes of my own and was wondering is there a guideline anywhere on how much sugar to a gallon of must will give you a certain ABV ? For example if you add 1KG of sugar to a 1 gallon must your will have a potential 12% ABV and so on I know this would not take in to consideration the sugars contained within the fruit you are using an that you can take a gravity reading an that this would tell you why it's at at the point of mixing but I would like to be able to have a rough idea before I start putting the mixture together.

Justin.
