this will probably sound like a dumb question.
i have tossed the yeast thet came with my pilsner kit and bought lager yeast (saflager s-23). Am i right in thinking this is brewed at much lower temp than ale yeast? what are the ideal conditions? And does the firrst fermentation process thereforre take much longer?
