Two Northern Brewer all grain kits. German Alt, and Surly Cynic. I actually put 2 more in the freezer. Going to drink them in just a minute.

You live down the road bud. Give me a ring and I'll let you try a few.

Man, I went into this thread thinking I might have had you beat...I was wrong...

Last Wednesday I did a fresh-hop pale ale with nugget and cascade.

Saturday I did an ESB with Target and Fuggles.

Sunday I did a robust porter.

Friday I'm doing a 1.116 imperial stout.

Saturday me and my buds are doing a Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale clone and another imperial stout.

My fern fridge will be very full. 25 cubic feet, 6 very full fermenters.

That's a busy week my man. I've slowed way down since that week, but still have 2 beers to bottle from it.

I cooled 1 each of the Blonde Ales... Pretty good, very drinkable. Two entirely different beers though. The 2-row version is biscuity, the pilsner version is wheat forward. Not sure which I'll like better, but I'm sure they'll both end up in my belly, and in the bellies of friends.

I'll probably want to adjust the recipies though. Add a little of this, a little of that... try to get a good recipe going. These were very simple recipes... 10lb base malt, 1 lb wheat, 1 lb flaked oats. Hallitau at 60, 10, and 7 day dry hop. I believe Safeale 05 in both.

I bottled the first Trippel a little while ago. OG was 1.082, FG 1.010. ABV is right at 9.5%.... cooled my sample and just tasted it. It burns goin down, but it's pretty good.

I plan to let this one age a good bit... probably until November some time. Of course... It is in bottles, so as impatient as I am, I'm sure I'll drink a few between now and then.

Have bottles in the dishwasher. Going to bottle Northern Brewers Belgian Trippel in a bit.

That will be the last of the beer to be bottled from the week that I started this thread about.

Just finished up... bottled the NB Trippel and cleaned up.

This one... OG 1.057, FG 1.010, ABV is just over 6%.

The taste test is very nice I have to say. Not harsh at all and I can taste the corriander and the sugar candy. This one isn't going to last very long.

So ends my busy week... which lasted about 3 months. I suppose I need to wait until I've cracked open and have tasted all of the beers brewed that week. That'll be awhile though.

Someone started a thread titled "You know you're a home brewer when...". I say you know you're a home brewer when one week is actually 3 or 4 months.

Still enjoying the sample. Actually, the kit came with a pound of candy sugar. I had 1/2 lb left over from my recipe and used only that amount. I didn't use a full pound. Drinking this, I'm glad I did that. I think it would have been cloying if I hadn't.

Anyway... for those of you who've read my rants, thanks for indulging me.

I was just looking up recipes for a good dubbel. Love the dark belgians.

A bit too sweet for me... the doubles. I bought a six pack of New Belgians trippel and man did I find a great beer. My recipe is very harsh right now. Not sure I'm going to enjoy it until it ages for a good while. This NB trippel kit is very nice though.

We really do need to get together. It's a shame we live in the same city and don't at least share a six pack every now and then. As a matter of fact... what beers do you have bottled? We could meet up somewhere and swap six packs. It would be nice if we could find a few home brewers in the Milton/Pace area and swap beers every now and then at least.

I still want to work with you on a brew day. I brew on an electric stove - not a gas burner. I'd really like to see how you handle that whole setup. I like being in an air conditioned house too much to make the switch to gas I think. But it's an option I've always considered.

And I thought I had too many bottles. How many bottles did you end up with?

You need somewhere to store all that beer! Might I suggest my place?

I have WAY too many bottles. I've tried to retire some of my green Heineken bottles recently. I just can't throw or give them away. I'm a horder I suppose.

Today, but I'm all but finished. I had 2 empty carboys and REALLY didn't feel like brewing, so I went to Shady Lady and got a couple of True Brew PM kits. Did one last night, and one this morning. Really does save time, and the Red Ale is a pretty good beer.

I've got a few Surly Cynic clones left, and 2 cases of NB Belgian Trippel ready to drink. I bottled my Belgian Trippel last week. If you're interested in a trade, let me know. I'll throw a six pack together and we can get together. Looking for folks to swap home brew with.

Id really love to try the cynic, thinking about brewing it myself. Ive only got 4 different beers in bottles right now and two kegged.
I have a NB milk stout, NB belgian, bitter amber and a honey blonde. Ill try to leave a little early for work tonight and maybe swing by for a couple minutes if that works for you. I work at 5, so maybe 4ish?
