I made a batch from a 1909 recipe. Used 4 ounces of Fuggles for bittering ~50 IBU, OG 1.044, FG 1.011
And it tastes sweet! I was expecting something more like an ESB. Old recipes and modern ingredients make for weird results sometimes.
Oh well, into the keg and we'll see what it's like in a month.
I can always dry hop with 2 ounces of Cascades and call it an IDA.
