If you're looking for one to let the hops shine I like the Russian River Row 2 Hill 56 clone grainbill, I've made it with a bunch of different hop combos. Yooper's and Bee Cave house pale ales are also popular and are probably a bit more malty.

Second on Da Yooper's Pale Ale! I have made it with 3 different hop combos and it's delicious every time.
