Moved on to a keggle setup for 10gal batches....

all stainless, AIH thermometer, AIH kettle screen
I have used this 9-gallon kettle exactly 4 times, including as a BIAB vessel for 5.5 gallon batches.
Sanitary TIG welded Stainless couplings with a stainless 1/2in full-port ball valve.
I purchased the kettle, and valve HERE: http://www.txbrewing.com/9-gal-stainless-kettle-assy.html
but got a nicer 3-in face bi-metal thermometer and kettle screen (called a Bazooka tube) (see picture) elsewhere.
The Bazooka tube would actually enable you to use it as a mash tun, draining to a different kettle to boil, or even mashing, draining the wort then dumping the grain, spraying it out, and pouring the wort back in to start the boil. A nice cheap way to get in to all-grain.... or just use it for full-boil 6-gallon extract batches, whatever.
I have moved to 10-gallon batches, so I use a 15.5 gallon keggle now. I thought about keeping this to use as a hot liquor tank but I don't have time to build a stand now.
I paid about $190 inc tax (inc therm and kettle screen purchased at another retailer), if I recall, so $140 is a steal
The bottom has no soot or marks. I usually boiled outside on propane, but one of the pics shows it on my electric stove when it was cold outside. That is 6.5 gallons of wort approaching boil, for reference.
13.75" diameter, 13.75" depth
I think I could probably do $140 shipped lower 48 - I haven't done any shipping quotes, but shouldn't be too much.
