8 gallon pot...will this work?

I beleive that is the exact same pot i use for all grain batches.(5-gal batches)
You can get away with even smaller for extract batches.
But with that you could possibly do 10 gal extracts or switch to all grain later on down the road.
 
I did extract brewing with a 22 quart Walmart special. An 8 gallon pot will work just fine. For all-grain brewing, I recommend a 10 gallon pot as a minimum size. However, unless you are planning on doing some really high-gravity beers, 8 would work for that just fine as well.
