My current chest freezer has bit the dust and I am looking to replace it with a GE or Frigidaire 7.0 or 7.3 cu ft unit.

I am looking to start brewing more than I currently do so I am going to raise the lid with 2x4's like a keezer to fit an additional bucket on the "hump".

I use BSG 7.8 gallon buckets which are wider/shorter than normal. Can anyone confirm that 2 of those and a 1 gallon glass carbon would fit if I built an extended shelf over the hump and raised the top?

There is a huge thread on chest freezer sizes and what fits where. I believe it also has the internal dimensions of each. What I did was go out shopping with some paper templates of what I wanted to fit in, and make sure that it fit into the display model. Alternatively you could bring a couple of the bucket lids, since I doubt the make it or break it factor would be the jug.

I have the Fridgidaire 7.3 cf (Model FFFC07M1QW) that I use for a keezer. I am able to get 4 cornies or two 6.5 gallon buckets on the floor. Here are some rough internal measurements (hard to be dead on when full), but should be no more than 1/2 inch off:

Length: 32"
Width: 15.5"
Depth: 26.25"
Hump Height: 8.5"
Hump Length: 8.5"

Thanks!! Very Helpful as there is no info on certain models on the freezer page.

I think to fit a bucket on the hump I will raise the lid with 2x4's.
