SMaSH (Single Malt and Single Hop) beer's are pretty popular on this forum, galena could lend a little citrus flavor, and six row could be good but I would mash high 154-156 and do a 90 minute boil to get more flavor out of it.

Well I like to mash thin, so for my setup I would mash in with 5 gallons @ 165 to settle to 155, then sparge with 3.3 gallons @ 180 to get 7 gallons pre boil, 5.5 post boil.

Subtract. 5 gallons from the sparge if you only want 5 gallons exactly.

If you fly sparge 180 is about right,by the time the water hits the grain
it will be 170 or less.

Cheers

I don't fly sparge, but even with batch sparging adding 180*F water to 10lbs of grain that will be about 145-150 after lauter will settle to less than170*F. That is on my setup though, YMMV.

Im still upgrading my system wondering why I'm gettin certain off flavors I think it was the PVC so I upgraded to copper
