I recently bought an Avantco 3500 induction burner and I'm planning on using it for the first time tomorrow. This is a 240v burner with a 6-20 plug. I'm planning on using my dryers outlet which is a 10-30 plug. I purchased a female 6-20 and a male 10-30 plug as well as a 12 gauge 3 wire cord. The cord has white green and black wires.

This website sells a cord so I know this configuration works but I'm not 100% sure how to wire it and I'd rather not try to guess when dealing with 240v.

I found this site that has diagrams of the different types of plugs and I'm pretty sure I know what I'm supposed to do, I'd just like confirmation from someone who is certain.

I asked the same question in the big Avantco thread but I figured I would ask here since I'd like to get this squared away before tomorrow and it might help anyone else looking to do the same thing.

For anyone interested I figured out how this works by looking at how my 240v receptacle was wired. The L shaped prong on the 10-30 was routed to the grounding bar in my panel so creating the cord was really straight forward. The ground prong on the 6-20 was routed to the L shaped ground plug on the 10-30 and the hots were wired so that one hot on the 6-20 went to one hot on the 10-30. This was done for both hots. Plugged in, flipped the breaker on and it worked like a charm.
