4gal batch in 5gal keg??

I am going to do a BIAB for my next brew...my kettle is only 8gal so I read that I’m only able to do about a 4gal BIAB and not a full 5gal batch...at least until I’m ready to buy a 10-15 gal kettle

Is there any problem with not filling up my 5gal corny other than it would use/waste more gas for carbonation?

No problem at all. And the gas difference between 4 and 5 gallons is actually minimal as it takes twice+ as much gas per gallon of beer to bring it up to carbonation level as it does to just maintain head space pressure for the same volume...
