This is the first time I've had this happen to me. Thursday morning I brewed up a Dunkel. Used Windsor Danstar yeast, re-hydrated. 48 hrs in and I've yet to see any activity in the airlock. And, since I use a bucket, I got no way of seeing if I've got trub forming on the bottom. Oh well. Looks like I just wait a couple more days and take a hydro reading and let that tell me if I'm nuts.
 
Unless you're bucket is super cold or super hot, I'm sure its fermenting or will be soon. Its a pretty foolproof process. The airlock activity is not very reliable. Wait a week or even two and then take a gravity reading, I'm sure you'll be surprised.
