Long time lurker that needs some help!

I've recently successfully convinced SWMBO that it's time to start kegging. On top of that I've also gotten permission to build a 4 tap coffin keezer!

The troubles are that I've thoroughly looked through the chest sizing thread for a 7 cu ft freezer but have found most of those models are no longer for sale. Craigslist hasn't proven useful yet so now I'm stuck trying to figure out what I which one I can buy from a big box or hardware store that fits my needs. (I'm in Dallas BTW in case anybody has any suggestions I haven't thought of.)

My question to y'all is has anybody been able to successfully fit 4 ball lock kegs on the floor or on the hump with a 2x8 collar for any of these freezers?

The replacement to the awesome FCM7SUWW

Idylis 7.1:

Here's what I'm hoping to be able to build:

Take this with a grain of salt, I'm not 100% sure...

I'm fairly certain the Idylis is the same as the older Holiday chest freezers (brand changed, freezer stayed the same). I have the Holiday 7 and can confirm with certainty that 4 ball locks will fit on the freezer floor (it's fairly tight but they fit without shoving the crap out of the last one you insert), plus a 10# CO2 on the hump. The regulator has to be angled on the tank for the lid to close properly with my collar made out of 2x4's. I've since moved the CO2 outside the keezer and added a fifth tap (nitro) along with a 3gal corny on the hump. I believe to fit a 5 gal corny on the hump you need a minimum 8.25" collar.

Take a look at this thread, a few posters throughout the thread mention the Idylis/Holiday as being the same unit: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f35/chest-freezer-specs-layouts-377518/

How did you order the igloo 7.2?
The Best buy website won't let me pick any stores to ship one to today.
It says that it is 'unavailable'. Any tricks or are they gone?

That is weird. I just went to the site and I added it to the cart. Then I went in the cart and chose in store pickup and it had my stores available for it. That is really odd if you can't do the same

I went to Lowes today with some cardboard cutouts of my ball lock kegs and found the Idylis 7.1 barely fit 4 on the floor. I ended up buying it and will let y'all know how it turns out. I also used a $20 off coupon from SlickDeals that made it a bit of a better buy. http://slickdeals.net/f/7071014-low...20-off-100-10-off-or-10-off-50-25-off-250?v=1

If I need to I can always put the 4th on the hump with a big enough collar or if I have enough room put a 5th on the hump :rockin:

Has anyone been able to confirm if the Idylis IF71CM33NW can fit 4 ball locks on the floor?

Sorry for not reporting back.

Yes you can fit 4 carboys on the floor and 5th on the compressor hump. The 4 on the floor need to be fit very carefully and might only be able to fit if they're the single strap kegs or the rubber bottoms are narrow.
