3/8" or 1/2" manifold

Just got back from the hardware store with everything to build a MLT with 3/8 CPVC.... should it be 1/2"? Does it matter?

I've done some searches and come up with mostly 1/2", but there was some 3/8. Does either one seal better?

I prefer 1/2", but I dont think it matters. I think it is a volume issue, but not enough of one to make a difference. This is just my opinion.

I was building my mash tun a while back and asked about this as well. Someone had a good point in letting me know that most March pumps and chillers us 1/2" connects. Might as well upgrade-proof those fittings by going with 1/2" now. But 3/8 will work just fine as well. Just not as good with pumps in the future.

March pump thing isn't in the plans now, but we all know how that goes. Back to the Hardware store.
