After finally being able to get High or Hell Watemelon and Brew Free or Die in Ohio, have been highly disappointed in their Black (or Cascadian, take your pick) IPA. I don't taste any Simcoe or Centennial from the dry-hopping. The beer smells a little off, little to no hop aroma. Not sure if something is wrong with the box-o-6 I bought, but my brewing buddy confirmed he was disappointed with his box-o-6 too (from different stores but most likely same batch). Anyone else have some input? I've had 4-5 dark/black/cascadian IPA's and this was by far the worst :(

In total agreement with you. First, FYI, there is a Commercial Beer Discussion section of HBT that this may or may not get moved to. The sixer I had had a horribly metallic taste to it and very little hoppiness to it what-so-ever. That's been the consensus from others I spoke with as well. Not a very good example of the style at all.
