Picked up a case last Friday at Bells General store. Went back in on Sunday to buy a couple of six packs for my brother in law and they were sold out. I just heard they will be getting more in soon.... but I have mine!

On the regular? They only make one batch per year. By February it's either gone or old.

Indianapolis area got it in 3 days ago. I bought a case and it is extremely tasty this year(always is).
It landed in Cincy today.

I got a sixer of it tonight.
I picked up a bunch today if anyone wants to make a trade.
Wow, I payed $16.99 per six pack here in Ohio.

It was $17.99 here. Pricey but worth it for a couple 6 packs.
I've paid nearly $20 before, but this time it was $17. I am thinking their expansion may have reduced the price for this year.
was this at Cyclone? Top notch store with great selection, but sometimes i feel their "one off" stuff is kind of pricey. I think i remember seeing Goose Island BCS 4 packs for something like 25-30$ as well last year, which seemed kinda high.
BTW, did you get any Sue the other day?

I had a pint tonight on draft. It's a decent beer, nothing spectacular. I think the further I get from being a beer noob, the less exciting new or rare beers are to me.

I paid $17/6 last year and they are asking $18/6 here this year which was just released 2 days ago and has already nearly dissapeared. I was underwhelmed with bottles last year but loved it on tap so I will skip the 6pack this year and catch it on tap. One of my brewery partners bought 2 6ers this year so far so I may trade him one for some trade beers I have coming in to see if I like this years batch any better.

Beermuda in New Kensington (PA) had Hopslam on tap last night. Today I'm feeling the effects and now understand why they call it Hopslam…
We also left our bottled beer in the car and the temperature dropped to well below freezing overnight. We now have Hopslam/Nugget Nectar popsicles.

I know what you mean. When I first tasted this a few years ago it was mindblowing. Since then I've had many IIPAs and I really appreciate them all, but none of them are like that first orgasmic experience the first few gave.
That said, I really like this beer. I can see how many don't think it's really great, because it's smooth and not strongly bitter. Yet, I appreciate the subtle honey and malt character along with the hoppiness.
Had a Founders Centennial IPA the other day and I actually thought it might have been at least as hoppy, but I think that is only because it's less balanced and more hop and bitter forward.
I am sometimes disappointed when trying even new beers these days because there doesn't seem to be much that's really different and exciting. Except maybe for some really oddball stuff with weird additions.
Still really look forward to hopslam in January, and Oberon when it's out in the early spring. Along with Dragons Milk whenever I choose to pick it up, Founders dark beers, etc. Some that are done just right are really good when you haven't had them in a while.
