1) Become a better homebrewer than my brother in law
2) Keg beer like a champ (first round of keg hardware orders are in)
3) Move on to Partial Mash BIAB brewing (Not enough space in my condo to do AG, if I were ever to move to the burbs and had a garage though I would probably go nuts and buy conicals and get a ridiculous setup along the lines of a Sabco Brew Magic)

1.) Master the fine art of brewing Koelsch... Five batches in, I am still not quite "there".
2.) Brew at least two batches of lagers during the January/early February timeframe (to facilitate temp control).
3.) More consistently save my yeast for repitching in future batches
4.) Work on my "ClusterFuggle" beer experiments (beers with uncommon ingredients, or at least uncommon combinations of ingredients)

1. Brew more often
2. BJCP certification
3. Switch to all grain
4. Become more involved with the brewing industry

2011 Goals

-Movie to an All Grain process (But maybe keep some partial mash)
-Enter at least 2 competitions, but also medal at least 1 of them
- Start kegging, but use bottles for "bigger" beers
-Develop my Keezer & Brutus
-Develop more of my own recipes then changing clones

And the big one
-Don't stop homebrewing when the Marines ship me!!

1. move to all-grain
2. further refine my "all-original" recipe into a truly finished product
3. be able to replicate that recipe consistently
4. enter a couple competitions
5. brew my summer/fall/winter seasonals so that they're actually finished on time
6. get the kegerator finished

1) Build a single tier system
2) Get that yeast bank going this year
3) Build up a better hops stash, more varieties
4) Enter more competitions, more specifically, brew for competitions.
5) Step up to more 10 gallon batches, maybe this is a subset of #1

1. Switch to all grain
2. Make a lager
3. Try new recipes
4. Get more 22oz bottles
5. Advocate homebrew/microbrew to my community more

1. Get SWMBO to go back to work (she's been laid off for >3 years now) so I can buy more kegs, fermentors....and stuff.
2. Brew 199.99 gallons.
3. Build kegerator.
4. Take the man cave back from the teenage kids who use it as their game room and decorate it up fire station style.
5. Be more active with the local home brew club.

So, this time next year, are we going to see if we achieved our goals as a whole?

  1. Do a partigyle with a friend
  2. Refine a recipe to the point I can call it my own, and share it here. (I'm thinking the Vagabond Gingered Ale from Papazian will be my starting point).
  3. Brew a beer from my heritage
  4. Enter a competition with an ale in a lager style, see how it does.
  5. Brew with others more often.
  6. Record my brew sessions better
  7. Think ahead on brewing

1) 10 gal beer and 5 gal wine /month
2) Design and assemble 5 gallon automated collapsible 2 vessel all-electric, hot water on demand, AG system
3) have 2 kegs on tap at all time (if #1 holds up this will not be an issue)

So, this time next year, are we going to see if we achieved our goals as a whole?

More or less yes. I forgot about the 2009 list for 2010 til it popped up in my subscribed threads , many replied with their results, so it would follow suit to post how you did. good luck in your endeavors!!!

1) Figure out my mash temp (thermometers) inconsistencies so I can hit my numbers!
2) Enter a competition
3) Fine tune a recipe (thinking my brown right now, but maybe a blonde or pale ale)
4) Relocate to area that will allow for brewing! I am getting married on September 10, 2011 and will be moving out of the parents house sometime between now and then. I will probably have to live in a small apartment, but I want to try and be able to live somewhere that will accommodate my AG brewing setup.

1) Move to all-grain (MLT is complete, now I just need the 15 gallon pot and propane burner)
2) Start making wine
3) Build a keezer
4) Finally figure out which ale to always have on hand - although the testing is fun
5) Perfect my Graff recipe. I started with Brandon O's recipe as a base and have been modifying it with different DME types, specialty grains, etc.

-Move to all grain
-Work on pipeline
-Finish keezer
-Teach some friends how to brew

the last is partially selfish, I am away from home two weeks a month and it would be great to be able to have more flexibility without having to plan things around when I'm home...

Man. This was such a great year. Next year I would like:

Organize my gear. Have dedicated spots for stuff.

Get a water test. experiment with profiles.

Streamline brew day. Look at an electric hlt that can take 10 gallons from 70* to 170* on under an hour and run it on a timer.

Sample more people's Homebrew.

Dedicate better times to drinking. Lately it always feels rushed and multitasked

Grow at least 3 hop varieties.

Visit some local breweries and brew pubs.

Take the beer judge exam.

1. (another) All grain.
2. (another) kegging.
3. introduce more people to great beer.
4. help more people in the labels forum looking for help.
5. renew my subscription.

1. Start All-Grain brewing
2. Build a 3-Tier Sculpture
3. Build a fermentation chamber
4. Brew a Barleywine
5. Brew at least 100 gallons

1) Get into a brewing rotation (getting back into brewing after about 2 years)
2) partial mash or all grain brewing
3) Kezzer (parts on the way)

1) Join a Homebrew Club
2) Start to formulate my own recipes
3) Set aside time to brew more often
4) Move to Partial Mashes

Does it count as goals for 2011 if I've already started putting things in motion? :p

1. I'm another brewer wanting to get his feet wet (figuratively) with all-grain brewing. My first attempt will be this Sunday, but I'm using it for a trial as to how I want to continue.

2. Finish the keg fridge. We've got the 4-keg setup, but next year I'm getting the shanks and faucets to really finish it off.

3. Find a "house" beer. Something I enjoy brewing, and everyone enjoys having around. We have enough kegs to store some so it'll work out well.

4. Work to continue the once-a-month brewing my brother and a mutual friend of ours have started, trying a few new recipes each time.

1. Join a homebrew club
2. Brew my first lager
3. Enter more competitions (I've only entered one each year since I started in 2007)
4. Finish tweaking my rig.
5. Do another fruit beer. I'm thinking a blueberry blonde ale made with wild blueberries.

1. Buy larger kettles (currently have one 5 gallon)
2. Go to all grain brewing
3. Enter a competition
4. Brew a barleywine
5. Make a mead
