Depends on what you're going for. Some commercial examples will certainly exceed the alcohol tolerance of some yeast strains (that's a big hint).

Closest was light american lager. At alcohol levels up to 9% or higher (and I have seen as high as 12%).

Mentioned under Cat. 23 in "minor styles" with no existing guideline (although I'd hardly consider it minor, just bad). It DOES have its own GABF style parameters, though ;)
