2 litre glass demijohn for carbonating an ale

Hi,

Currently about to put a 4 litre small batch ale into primary in a 2x 2 litres glass demijohns. Can the same types of bottles also be used as the conditioning/carbonation bottles for a low volume carbonation say somewhere around 1.5 vol of CO2 using their screw caps?

Can the bottles handle the pressure from that smaller volume of CO2?
