Good morning all,

I ordered my gas cylinder and kegs online yesterday so they are on the way here. I had a question though. I am planning to keep two kegs on tap but different styles at different levels of carbonation. I know I need two regulators so I have been looking around and haven’t really found any dual regulator setups. So what I did was to order two primary regulators, one a two gauge and one a single gauge. From what I can tell the single is the same as the dual the only difference is where the gauge would go there is a blanking plug. I think I should be able to connect the second regulator to where the blanking plug is. Has anyone done this before? Here is the link to the regulators I ordered.

Cheers!

No. you wouldn't want to do this because the threads are different. if you adapted the second regulator to match the port on the first regulator, you'd be in a very gray area in terms of safety.

I'm not saying it can't be done, just not so sure it's safe.

sounds to me like you want to use one tank w/two different pressures, correct?

Try buying something like this:

cheaper than your proposal anyway.

If you do it that way, you will still have to get some parts and some others will be wasted. For example, you will have to remove the tank connection off of one of the guages and that would be wasted. You would then have to buy a regulator connection piece, and install it, to connect the two regulators that you bought.

It could be done, but for the price, just buy one that is already made for it, just a suggestion.

Plus you could always add on, might even be a lil cheaper.

The threads on the high-pressure gauge and the regulator inlet will be left-hand threaded, so it's much more difficult to find fittings for them. There are some places to buy a LHT pipe nipple to connect two regulators:

I doubt you'd be able to pick up anything in a hardware store though, it's pretty non-standard.

Where were you shopping? there are plenty of places that sell dual regulators!

Hmmmm, that isn’t very good, I am shopping on-line through ebrew.com. I have access to an excellent machine shop that could make a nipple for me, or I just might order that one from Midwest.
