I converted a glass beverage dispenser into a 2 gallon fermenter. I was looking for Number of features:
1. Glass or clear plastic so I can see what's going on in there
2. Wide opening so fruit or other stuff can be added or removed as needed
3. 2 gallon size to be used as a fermenter for 1 gallon batches of wine and mead. I have learned it is best to make well over one gallon when doing 1 gallon batches![Drunk :drunk: :drunk:](https://cdn.homebrewtalk.com/smilies/sdrinking-100-155.gif)
I don't think the screw-on lid will seal but that shouldn't be a big issue for a primary fermenter. I'm hoping to be able to get tubing onto the spout for transfers.
