So I was given a regulator from a friend to get my kegorator going and I went threw a 5 pound tank in the first week with one keg. Turns out I didn't have the keg connected correctly, no big deal live and learn exchanged tank for a new one. Hooked the new tank up to 2 new kegs and after force carbing and drinking for a week my tank is empty again. I checked every connection on air lines kegs nothing is leaking. Filled lines and regulator with 20 psi and dis connected it from the tank holds pressure no problem. Then I looked at the gasket that goes between the regulator and the tank it has what looks like a notch out of it. Is this supposed to be there or do I need a new gasket?
Thanks for the help, cheers

Also, make sure you open the CO2 tank valve all the way until it "tightens open" otherwise it could slowly leak.

So I checked the regulator 2 hours later and the pressure was down to 0 hooked it back up to the tank and found the problem the high pressure gauge has a slow leak now I just have to get it off and put some Teflon tape on. Only it's stuck on pretty good is there anything I should put on it to loosen it up, maybe wd-40???

Make sure you crank the psi up and spray star san EVERYWHERE to check for leaks. I had a leak coming from my pressure relief valve, and I had to replace the whole valve. Holds like a charm though.

I forget which gauge.........But isn't the high pressure gauge a left hand or "backward" thread?

Look @ the threads closely............If so, that may be why it's "stuck on pretty good"............

Edit: sometimes it's indicated on the back of the regulator body.
