Thanks to David_42, RichBrewer, and others in this forum, I have my first batch in a primary and is happily bubbling away. Thanks guys. This forum rocks!

It will be interesting to see how this turns out with 7 year old Vintage Pilsener LME. I did a full 6.5 gallon boil and after an hour ended up with 5 gallons in the bucket. The adjustable SS strainer I picked up at target made for a great hop back.

After seeing how easy a mini mash was, I'm ready to go All Grain next. Next weekend, I see a Kolsch AG coming up. :mug:

That's quite a strainer, I remember doing a couple batches with strainer so small one of had to hold it while the other poured the wort.

Thanks. I was looking for one and had picked up an 8" round when I saw this. It came in really handy as I was by myself yesterday for the brew. I just tossed it in the dishwasher when I was finished. Now it's ready for the next brew session as I put all my primarys in a bucket.

Here's what I have going till I find room to put a chest freezer. The first cider is a week older than the second. The yeast is already starting to settle.
