1st hops grow in the Midwest

Hello everyone. I have gardening experience, but this will be my first attempt at growing hops. I have heard a lot about Cascade - Field Grade hops, is this a good choice for a beginner? It will be used for an all grain brew.

I am also open to suggestions as to what grain I should grow as well. This is just a fun project for me it and doesn't require the best ingredients in the world, just a popular favorite.

Grow cascade. It seems to do well everywhere from what I read and is hardy. I have my own growing now. Good luck this season. Are you getting/did you get yours from Great Lakes Hops?
