I've been reading and learning a lot on this site and I wanted to thank everyone for offering their advice.

I have some questions on bottle sanitation.

I will be using Easy Clean No-Rinse Cleanser that came with my Brewer's Best basic kit for sanitizing.

My question is, should I sanitize the bottles the day before (or early the day of bottling) and allow them to dry off before bottling? Can they be wet inside with the no-rinse sanitizer when I fill them with beer? I will be using brand new bottles that have never been used.

Before bottling I was planning on putting all my hardware (hoses, caps, wands, siphon, etc) in a 5 gallon bucket filled with the appropriate amount of water and Easy Clean. Is this ok or do I need to sanitize everything and then let it dry? I figured I could take items out and put them back in as needed to keep everything sanitized.

I hope I'm not being paranoid but I don't want to screw up and I also don't want to do more work than is needed.

Thanks,

not sure what brand of cleaner you use but cleaners designed specifically for brewing purposes are neutral to the beer and dont effect the flavor. Sanitize then bottle if you let them dry with no sanitizer on them you run the risk of picking up foreign bacteria. with products like starsan you just bottle the beer right on top of the soapy suds

Cleaners and sanitizers are two different things. Cleaners are for cleaning and sanitizers are for sanitizing. If possible get some Starsan it is a no rinse sanitizer. When using no rinse sanitizer you don't want the the items to dry.

The more I have been reading the more I am realizing that. I will stop by my LHBS and pickup some Starsan. Thanks guys!
