I am working on a project that requires me to swap my pin lock posts for NPT fittings. I took off the posts and went to the local hydraulic guy and left him in quite a state because he was so lost as to what the threads were.

From all my googling, I can see that 19/32"-18 seems to be pretty much exclusive to corny kegs and brewing. Just curious if anyone has heard or knows of any other uses for this thread.

I also can't get a definite answer of what the thread even is.. seems like its UNF, but just want to confirm which might make finding appropriate hardware easier.

Edit: Has anyone ever tried to fit the 9/16-18 onto a 19/32 post.. they are so close some cross threading for sure would happen, but once these adapters are on they aren't coming off.

One occasionally needs to remove keg posts to clean dip tubes or replace O-rings.
